Re: [Problem] - Bad compatibilty between Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller and JMicron JMS539

I've ordered a USB 3.0 hub based on VIA 812. This one:

Inateck® USB 3.0 Hub 4 Porte rotondo stile con cavo USB 3.0 e adattatore di alimentazione , supporto di Windows XP / Vis…

If things don't get better, I'll try to update the firmware of the Fantec box. In the meanwhile, here is a question: is it normal that I couldn't install the Renesas drivers in my notebook?:

Intel® Download Center

This is what I did:

- I uninstalled Intel extensible controller host USB 3.0 drivers

- I rebooted

- I installed the Renesas drivers

- I rebooted

- I noted that Windows 7 has not been able to identify my USB 3.0 Intel controller (Windows doesn't seem to have recognized the Renesas drivers)

Probably this is a stupid question because I've an Intel host USB 3.0 controller, so I should use Intel drivers instead, however I've read that a user solved his disconnection problems by installing these Renesas drivers on a PC with an Intel host controller, so I couldn't figure out how it has been possible.
